I love orange infused anything. This goes for foods, baked goods, scents, oils and much more. We had an orange lying around after we used its zest to make dinner one night and I thought hey, I can still use this! So behold, my gluten-free orange cake loaf recipe. A super easy recipe for a beginning baker as it’s simple to follow with minimal ingredients. Let me know how yours turn out!
Prep Time: 10 minutes | Cook Time: 40 minutes | Total Time: 50 minutes | Servings: 8
Ingredients
- 1 large orange
- 5 eggs
- 1 cup vegetable oil
- 2 cup rice flour
- 1 tbsp baking powder
- 1 cup white sugar
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
Baking Instructions
- Pre-heat oven to 350 degrees F.
- Puree together peeled orange and 5 eggs.
- Mix remainder of wet and dry ingredients together.
- Pour in orange and egg mixture. Mix well.
- Pour batter into a greased loaf pan.
- Bake for approximately 40 minutes, until top is golden brown. Check with a toothpick to see whether batter is still sticking (if yes, bake for another 5-10 minutes).
